India 3 Calling Home

Communication:

One of the interesting things about India is its ability to keep in touch with the world. For those who don’t have the luxury of a landline, there are numerous phone “booths” all over the country. I thought it was really cool to have them so accessible and not have the hassle of a monthly bill and I am sure it works well for the Indians who use it regularly.

Jon and I discovered this one on the next street from where we stayed at the YMCA in Colaba, Mumbai and we made good use of it. Look carefully and you will see Jon on one of the phones. The big red ones are coin phones for local calls and the regular looking ones are mainly for international calls.
