Boston
I had my first trip to Boston with David and Jon and we drove all of ten hours to get there, partly thanks to David but mostly due to horrendous traffic and bad weather. It qualifies as my second Road Trip complete with stops in towns along the way to stock up on junk food and do other stuff.
We met David's friend Davina and her friend Emily and had a nice time walking along the streets at night, visiting Mike's, the famous pastry shop as well as some cool streets that reminds you of some London cobbled streets.
Boston is an old city with some very fascinating history and fabulously old buildings, one of which we visited and was spellbound at the beauty and intricacy of the architecture. We also visited the Harvard Campus and wished we were students there. Can you believe the building in the last picture houses a cafeteria? Its a shame really1
It was a nice trip and we made some new friends so I should not worry about a cafeteria in a fabulous building that seems more suitable as a church.
Backing Up...Halloween!!!
I have not been blogging lately because I was trying to keep all my posts in the order in which they occur. Now I have put that aside and I am going to post when I can and what is most convenient.
This is Jon and I and David on Halloween night on the streets of NY. We make a frightful sight don't we?

Birthday Reflections
Birthdays come once a year and this is always a good time to reflect and remember who you are and where you are. More importantly for me though is to always remember where I have come from.
It has been a long time coming but it was worth the wait. I can honestly say this is where I need to be in my life right now and I would not trade places with anyone. I am grateful for who I am and where my life is headed.
I am also aware of the many people who have contributed to making me who I am today and I am taking this time to acknowledge this fact.
My family has played a big part in the whole process and I am grateful for my parents and all my sisters and brothers. We may have lived apart for many years but I was able to observe and learn from all of you. I hope we have many more years to get to know each other better and grow closer to each other.
I believe every person should have at least one close friend. How fortunate I am to have not one, not two but quite a few

A Tribute to My Sister Molly For Her Birthday
Dear Molly,
Just wanted to remind you that you mean a lot to me. I am so happy you are my sister and I lokk forward to many more years we can share together.
All the best you you.
Your brother, always.
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take 'no' for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what
makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
